We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate Oral Surgery Assistant to support our surgeons and provide exceptional patient care. This role includes preparing patients for procedures, assisting chairside during surgery, monitoring vitals, taking digital X-rays, sterilizing instruments, and providing post-operative instructions. Additional clerical support may be needed as part of our collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients for surgery
- Take digital X-rays and scans
- Assist the surgeon during procedures (suction, instrument exchange, monitoring)
- Monitor patient positioning and vital signs
- Document treatment information as needed
- Provide clear post-operative instructions
- Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical trays
- Take impressions when required

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Dental Assistant certification preferred)
- 1–3 years of surgical assisting experience preferred; dental assisting experience considered
- CPR certification required; DAANCE certification a plus
- Ability to travel between three office locations
- Availability for occasional weekend hours

Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

First, DMD, MD, and Junaid Mundiya, DMD practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and TMJ disorders, and perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures. Dr. Jonke, Dr. Guariglia, Dr. Jamdar, Dr. First or Dr. Mundiya‘s staff is trained in assisting with IV sedation within our state-of-the-art office setting.
